This Hopi Eagle Dancer Kachina Doll is superb in detail. It looks like one solid piece with the exception of the bells and a few small feathers on his head. The detail is exceptional. From the fine lines of the feather work, the beaded look in the ankle bracelets to the carving of his toenails. The time and effort and talent is evident with every stroke of this carver. Milton uses stain to bring out the natural wood grain of the customary cottonwood root, along with paint to enhance and show more detail. He takes the time, and you can only imagine the patience it must demand, to feature and enhance every tiny detail line.
