This Mata Ortiz Pot was hand coiled by master potter Juan Quezada. This unique ceramic Olla pot features a geometric design of Southwest Native American symbols encircling a butterfly motif all painted by hand. A recipe of ground minerals or roots created the black pigment that was applied to the fired clay Olla pottery. This ceramic collectible work of art has a 24-3/4" circumference and a 2-1/2" diameter at the opening of the neck. The natural clay pot stands 10" inches tall and approximately 7-3/4" inches in width. Juan Quezada's signature is etched on the base.
